LinkedIn Can Be Your Business Power Tool

LinkedIn Can Be Your Business Power Tool

With over 500 million users, LinkedIn is the largest online networking and connection site for professionals. That’s why it can highly benefit your small business’s online engagement and reputation with something as simple as a LinkedIn profile for your business. Through LinkedIn, your employees can represent their company and your business can represent it’s current and past employees.

Businesses also know that LinkedIn is one of the first place job seekers, professionals, and recent graduates are looking at your company, its employees, and the profile in general. A highly active and fully completed/updated profile for your business is more likely to get looked at rather than an unfinished profile that isn’t up to date. Here are some helpful tips for enhancing your business profile on LinkedIn:

  1. Make sure all of your employees are on LinkedIn. Make sure they have your company listed in employment history/current job, an updated job title, and an updated and accurate job description. This WILL make your company stand out.
  2. Have a fully completed business profile. Make sure all of your links and information are updated and accurate.
  3. Make your logo your profile picture. It will be easier for connections to know and recognize your page.
  4. Join featured groups. These are groups/pages that might be similar to your profile or business. Often times, they are groups of individuals and business that post certain content based on topic and relativity to their industry.
  5. Provide links to your other social media accounts on your profile.
  6. Post at least 3 times per day. Whether it’s reposting/sharing an interesting article or sharing content you’ve posted on Instagram, all that matters is that your business is lively on LinkedIn.
  7. Share your blog posts on LinkedIn.
