Does Your Website Need A Digital Face-lift?
Your business’s website is the face of your company. It should be easy to locate, navigate, and source. There are many ways you can give your business’s website a digital “facelift” without having to make any major changes or updates.
Here are a few ways to polish your website:
- Update the SEO for all pages of your website. Use keywords to help your website and its features become more easily accessed from a Google Search. For example: your blog page might automatically have a long URL like ‘www.example.com/23tfhn3eo/page20p3/blog’. Update it to www.example.com/blog or www.example.com/blogpage so that it’s easier to find and search!
- Use updated photos whenever necessary. Don’t fill up spaces on your site just for style or for the look of it. Your site does need style and a modern look, but make sure it has a good flow. Photos and graphics are great, but don’t over-do them.
- Openly display important information and links. This includes: contact info, address, phone numbers…etc.
- Is your website secure? If your site isn’t yet, it should be HTTPS (the ‘S’ stands for secure). “Chrome is now alerting users when the site they’re visiting is has not migrated to HTTPS, so your site is being labeled with “not secure” in the URL bar if you haven’t made the switch.”
- Have easily accessible links to all social media accounts. Social media and your website go hand-in-hand. Your social media accounts should have links to your site and your site should have links to your social media.
- Add a pop-up. Pop-ups are great for grabbing attention and engaging in user actions. Often pop-ups are for subscribing to a blog. If your website has a blog, this could be a great way to get more subscriptions.
