A Virtual Leader

Now, more than ever, it’s important to be a leader. Being a virtual leader with your company is crucial for the employees who are looking for guidance and support. Whether your company is still in quarantine mode and telecommuting or just getting back into the office setting but taking precautions, you have to be strategic in how your meetings are managed. Proper communication is key, trust is key, and learn to properly delegate tasks when needed. Whether your employees are stuck in a slow time of work or are being pulled in a million different directions and being stretched too thin, it’s CRUCIAL for them to know they are valued during this time!

So, ask yourself, how am I rewarding employees who are taking on difficult tasks and projects? Am I realizing someone’s flexibility to adapt to change and still be productive? Are we converting employees who don’t need to work in an office setting to remote? All of these questions are being asked a million times per day. There is really no right or wrong answer to any of these. It’s just a matter of what works for the company, what works for the culture, and what works for the employee.

Take some downtime to learn a new skill, update anything you’ve been putting off, de-clutter your inbox and computer, and give yourself space to breathe. During a time like this, dedicated employees are more valuable than money. When will it all end? We don’t know. But, we do know that you can take this time to become the best virtual leader you can be and be able to look back and pat yourself on the back for it!
