A Look Into 2019 Marketing Trends

Some are the same as they were in 2018, only bigger. Some have changed and some are not trending anymore. Here is our list of marketing and social media trends to look out for in 2019:

  1. Video content. Whether it’s a short video on an Instagram or facebook post, a GIF, a boomerang, or a snapchat story, video is quickly becoming the best way to reach and connect with customers through social media. 
  2. Minimalism within posts. Simplicity is key.
  3. EYE CATCHING article titles. Not always the best article content, but a way to reach and grab the consumer.
  4. Instagram (and now facebook) Highlights. Save your stories into categories featured on your Instagram profile. They can be viewed as many times as possible unlike a regular story which can only be viewed for 24 hours.
  5. Monochromatic filters. A huge trend for influencers is to have their instagram page look monochromatic with the same or similar filter used on all posts. 
  6. Shortened website links and URLs embedded into posts.
  7. Memes. They’re hilarious and everyone enjoys them.
  8. Hashtags. You can now follow a certain hashtag on instagram which is a great social media plus. Use a certain hashtag in all of your posts, use a certain keyword, and attract your audience.
  9. Emojis. 😁  Use them and use them (appropriately) often.
  10. Blogging/Bloggers. Your company SHOULD have a blog and keep it updated regularly.
  11. Reddit. It’s sort of like an anonymous Twitter but with random content.
  12. Influencer marketing. Influencers can use your products to create an original/lifestyle post with it.
  13. Interactive/animated email marketing. Make your emails fun to open!
